SASHLA Spring Ethics Webinar
We are so excited to have Dr. Alaina S. Davis, Ph.D., CCC-SLP/L, CBIST speak to us about the Unethical Nature of Health Disparities in Neurogenic Communication Disorders. This course will discuss ethics related to health disparities for persons with neurogenic communication disorders from underserved communities and diverse race/ethnicities. The unethical nature of health and healthcare disparities as related to the social determinants and implicit biases will be discussed. SLPs will also learn their role in eliminating health disparities through ethical, moral, equitable and culturally responsive practices.

Cultural considerations
This course will help identify cultural considerations that speech pathologists should reflect on as they prepare for meaningful interactions that can contribute to positive outcomes of their evaluations and treatment with multi-cultural populations.
